What is a Connection Bar?
Connection bars, also known as bar-retained dentures, are a foundation for your dentures to be clipped onto. You will have two to five implants surgically placed. Once finished, a thin metal bar will be placed onto these implants along the natural curvature of your jaw. The dentures can then clip onto this bar for a secured fit.
Why do you need a Connection Bar?
You might need a connection bar if you are having problems with your dentures fitting properly. The bar is designed to effortlessly clip the prosthetic into place, providing a more confident fit. The bar is also long-lasting and durable, providing years of high-quality wear. Because the bar-retained dentures are custom made to your unique arch, you’ll experience greater comfort each day.
What makes you a good candidate for a Connection Bar?

What happens during the procedure for a Connection Bar?
First, you will need to have between two to five implants placed into the bone. Once healed, Dr. Rejintala will mold a thin metal bar and attach it to these implants. Clips are applied to the bar and get attached to your dentures. The bar is meant to stay in place for a long period of time and creates a secure foundation for your dentures. This prevents the dentures from slipping and falling out of place. Be sure to come in to meet with Dr. Rejintala concerning a consultation.
